but i cant figure out which planes are perked and which ones are not, and i want to find my regular ride (cannot be perked) and practice in it before i join.
so can someone tell me which ones are perked so i know not to choose from those?

Start with a Spitfire Mk IX.
Easy to fly, good guns, wont form too many bad habits.
Good luck and welcome.

I'll second that. The Spit 9 is a great all around plane.
It sounds like you've been working with this sim for awhile, but be sure to check out the information in the training area of the Aces High site. There is also good info at netaces.org. I think you'll find a noticable difference between the offline and online opponents.
Best of luck, and welcome aboard!!

Who says you need a "regular" ride?
Just keep flying what you've enjoyed flying for the past 1.5 years.
If it's perked, take the next level down until you earn perks, then go back to flying what you like. If not perked, don't worry.

Let us not forget Perks are different for Mid and Early.........

Oh know it has happened again!!! I agree with Krusty. Stick with what you like and or know, and have a blast. Just never stop learning, this game has a multitude gems to discover.
