F6F RC plane.

Man I love that plane :D

Made my hair stand up :) I wonder if there's anyone out there who made a scaled but exact replica of their scaled warbird's engine... I remember one guy who did it with polished brass and chrome parts, but a flying one would be pretty cool. The guy that replicated an LM Ferrari prototype had it sounding almost perfectly like the real one. I saw it in person and it sounded awesome with the echo from the hangar the exposition was in.

I have seen a scale 300hp Jacobs and a really cool 250cc 5 cylinder radial.
Here is a cool video of a scale Yak 11 with a Moki 250cc radial.

Here is the same engine in a P47

If that F6F made your hair stand up, this might make something else stand up. :lol

LOL :rofl

hehe Exactly what I was thinking :) I'd have gone the extra mile (or hundred) and found a better engine for it though.
What's that he's got atop the fuselage, ahead of the canopy?

speaking of 190s, what does this look like? Dora?

Looks like an A model. Might be the Flugwerk replica. If you can't tell whether the nose is the long (Dora) or short (A) type, you can tell the difference from the exhaust arrangement: on this one is the A-model's radial engine's squarish exhaust assembly, whereas a Dora would have the inline stubs horizontaly lined up..
190A on the left, 190D/152 on the right:

oohh okay Thnx :aok

FW190 RC with a radial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTa7tBd8V-s&feature=related
The model does not look too good though....

He should get a starter motor like they've got on GP bikes, instead of taking forever trying to hand start it like that.
Great sound :D Way better than the usual lawnmower micro-thumper..

Hugh Heffner flies a RC 152? :D

Of course, old Hughie definately knows what is HOT and sexah! :D

Tom Blair's Flugwerk 190A8. It's in Florida now

LOL, I knew someone would find my F6 :D.
<S>
Its one of the easiest airplanes to fly in my arsenal. For what ever reason I cain't see the vid, but I already know what it looks like. Here was a picture of the test flight:

I have one of the AT-6 RC planes that was made by Great Planes. Love that bird.

There are electric starters for model a/c. Messes up the spinner tho.

Why does the Ta152 have cowl guns and no wing cannons?
-
It shouldn't.. Only the 152C had cowl guns, and that model had wingroot + engine guns too. That one in the picture's got an H's wings but what sort of look like cowl guns. I'm pretty sure 151/20s would be further forward, though.. that looks way too short, too close to the canopy to fit where a pair of 20mm or 13mm would be.
Maybe he needed vents in that spot and decided to make them look like guns..1/4 scale Merlin

That's awesome :) I can't find any videos of it, though.

Here you go moot, a 1/5 scale Merlin running.

Take a look at the whole site, some interesting models, even a RR Eagle 22.

it looks awsome only the 51 rc looks better

moot

ya know if youve just got the cash :D
-
Thanks :) Pretty expensive, but the detailing's good..
-
The problem with scale like multicylinder 4-stroke engines in the RC-scale planes is that these engines tend to be rather heavy and underpowered if compared to the normal RC-engines (1-2 cylinder 2- or 4-strokes), in addition these are expensive and fragile.

Got that right, and when your flying with one, you always get the feeling if you crash one.... :O I think they cost about 3000 or more.
