Jagdgeschwader 7 (JG 7) Nowotny was a Luftwaffe fighter-wing of World War II and the first operational jet fighter wing in the world. It was created late in 1944 and served until the end of the war in May 1945, and it operated the Me 262 jet fighter exclusively.This squad was formed by Adonai not too long ago. In Aces High we lean to fly more luftwaffe planes, however we do fly whatever we like and are a Rook based squad.There is no age requirement, however maturity is an issue and if you are going to sign up we ask you be respectful and have a great time flying with us!

Just FYI, Jadgeschwader 7 was originally Kampfgeschwader 7- when the first jet geschwader was formed, the Luftwaffe wanted to use pilots that were good at long range navigation, flying for long periods of times, etc., and by this logic instead of converting a fighter geschwader they used a bomber geschwader. Didn't work out particularly well.

Excellent information motherland, I am hoping soon we can have a website posted with more details on a fine unit in the luftwaffe.

Nice pic jokester, i didnt have any 262 killing b27 picks at that time so i used some j27 pics that i had.
