you owe me that.
I have been a customer for over 3 years.
Not letting people know who I am is bullcrap. It's a Persona you just don't let go.
Stand up for your customers.

Call them.

I did...they say pick a new name, but nobody can know who you were.
It's numbers...they would rather lose one person as a customer than lose a bunch of customers because of the name is associated with a hacker.

I find that hard to believe. Maybe a different reason?

I came back as GrimCH, was allowed by HTC. But nobody could know or complain to HTC about. Well someone did and my account is deleted.

Word about who's behind a new handle will spread quite quickly to all those who really care about it.
Been there, done that.

Let me get this straight, you got banned because your name is associated with a known hacker?
-
I was one of the complainers as I posted a video of them using your nick in game using the hack. With that said I think it later became obvious that someone had hacked your account. I'm quite sure HTC knows this as well just by looking at IP logs. As a webmaster, I have to assume they have the ability to check IP's vs player names.
So assuming they found no connection I think it's kinda lame that they wont give you back you old name.

If HTC said no, then what can you possibly hope to gain by posting this on the forums other than the flames you're going to get scorched by?

This should have been handled better by us. MotleyCH was indeed cleared of hacking charges as his account had been violated.
MotleyCH thank you for trying to help us with the issue and accept our apolgie.
