Title: Throttle FUBAR? X52
Post by: Rollins on July 06, 2008, 02:11:58 AM
Gents,
Logged on today, nothing out of ordinary. Hopped in my ride and noticed that my X52 throttle was now giving reversed settings.  Mind you I haven't changed anything.  Check the controller setting and full throttle reads as 0 and no throttle reads as full on the Z axis. So it's completely reversed.  I tried recalibrating, reinstalling the Saitek software (which showed the correct 0 throttle and full throttle settings), default mapping, inverting axis and remapping stick manually.  No matter what, the throttle inputs are reversed.

Any ideas or experience here?

No idea how that could happen, but you can reverse the throttle in AcesHigh so it will respond appropriately.

Escape-->options-->controls-->map controllers-->pick the throttle in the list at the top-->click the throttle axis-->click advanced-->check

invert axis-->done

Not sure if this has anything to do with it but my x52 had lots of wonky things happening to it at first.  Turned out it wasn't getting enough power and it wasn't getting it consistantly.  This wonked up the calibrations all the time and sometimes it would just not work at all.

A USB hub with it's own power took care of all my problems.  If you don't have one I'd recommend it even if it won't fix the problem.
