I've always greatly enjoyed the CoD series, even when CoD4 came out as Modern Warfare. Can't wait for this one to come out. I think CoD6 is going back to Modern Warfre again.

Ever played Medal of Honor Pacific assualt? It's gonna be like that, but 10 times bigger and better. (Pacific assualt on the PC is different than the gaming one. The PC one lets you use bayonets  :O and a Tommy-gun w/ a 50 round drum barrel, Springfield 1903 w/o Scope)

And their making a Killzone 2. (Which was the Playstation's Halo.)

If I've learned anything from the internet, its that World War II was FUN.

I played CoD4... it was really cool at first, but then it just got silly after I realized that all you ever had to do was advance advance advance and the computer soldiers would take care of the dirty work.

Funny thing about CoD.  I was watching BoB one sunday morning on the history channel.  There was a scene that was errily familiar where they were clearing trenches and setting up transponders to guide the airborne for D-Day.  It was like I knew exactly what was going to happen next.  Then I realized that it was one of the scenarios in CoD...

perty kewl.

I can't wait. When does it come out? I've heard around Christmas and early next year.

I've briefly played CoD1 and CoD2 and bought CoD4 a few months back.  I grew tired of them all for various reasons pretty quickly.  The campaigns aren't really that inspiring.  Multiplayer (at least in CoD4) can be a trip for someone on ADHD, even on the hardcore servers (but you'll just find more camping on HC servers IMO).

But I'm biased on Day of Defeat (not source) since I played that competitively for about 5 years.

i prefer the ww2 aspects and if its pacific theatre there will be some immense shoot em ups.  The single player may be fun and challenging again.

i just hope they dont rush it just to make some more cash.  Which will no doubt be the case.

And with more modern systems, they'll have bigger battles. If you ever played Medal of Honor Pacific Assualt (Not Rising Sun), you can double just about everything including graphics.  :aok

Pacific Assault was good.  There are very few moments in all of gaming history that could breed some much intensity.

And of all the Pacific War books I read, it was actually pretty accurate in alot of cases. I really like the Edsons Ridge part of the game.

M-1 Garand w/ Bayonet FTW!  :rock
