Title: Comcast getting thiers?
Post by: Skuzzy on July 11, 2008, 03:10:16 PM
Most of you should already klnow about the way Comcast has been manipulating connections for the last several months.  A class action lawsuit in California is ongoing, and now it appears the FCC is getting into the act (http://www.reuters.com/article/internetNews/idUSBNG1334420080711).

Keep your fingers crossed.  Those of you on Comcast's service might want to consider taking an active part in this.

We need stricter and clearer net neutrality bill.

Quote
"The U.S. House of Representatives passed its telecommunications bill, H.R. 5252, in May (2008). On June 28, the Senate Commerce Committee passed its own telecom bill, S. 2686. An amendment to the bill that would have added net neutrality safeguards failed 11-11. The debate now shifts to the full Senate, where advocates will be working to get strong net neutrality language is any bill that the Senate considers."
