Mav and I had a chance to hook up for lunch with his beautiful wife and their friends Scott and Barbara at the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field in Seattle this afternoon. Let me tell you right now that if you ever get a chance to meet Mav, he's a helluva guy with a great wife. Thanks for lunch once again Mav!
Here is a (hastily) pre-photoshopped pic so the "Eskimo's" of OT won't have to work hard.

Rip, I now enjoy meeting folks from this game, rather than playing the game.

Mav's face has never been posted on the BBS apparently, so I thought I'd respect it. If he wishes to post his photos, I will honor that (as you've all seen my ugly mug before ;) ) Maverick has been and always will be a great friend. It was nice putting a real live person's face and conversation to an AH handle.

Gimme a couple of years, I'll get out there. Count on it.

Looking forward to it! You got a place to crash if you need it, K2. :rock

Notice how they are standing next to the "parts of an airplane" sign.

Rip,
Thanks again for the entry into the museum and especially for the chance to meet ya. We spent the entire afternoon there and had a great time. :aok
Feel free to post the real picture. I don't think I have been posted here but it's not a big deal.
I enjoy meeting folks from the board. I met most of the others in the 13thTAS in Kansas and Seagoon at his church in Fayetteville. I'll still be in the PAC NW for a while in one place or another if there are other inmates of the O'Club here.

You're very welcome Mav.
I've invited Yeager a few times over the years to hook up, but our schedules always never seem to match (or he's just stuck up :p )
Roscoroo lives nearer to Paine field than I. I think CMCAirboss does too. Perhaps we could meeting sometime in August at the Flying Heritage display? (Actual restored, or close replica flying ww2 aircraft)

I had a chance to meet Mav when he passed thru here, but couldn't get my schedule to click with his. I did get to have a nice phone conversation with him. Really a great guy. :aok

Having met quite a few AWers and then AHers through the years I was struck by how normal everyone appears. There is no frothing at the mouth, no political speeches, and nobody brings a soapbox- it's just people getting together for some laughs and some beers.

OK, fixed...

SOB,
:lol
RPM,
We go through Texas more than once per year. We ought to get a chance to get together again. We have friends in the Austin area and they want us to swing by annually for a visit. We might make it there later in the fall. It depends on fuel prices.
