Did they ever make Later-Model P-47 Razorbacks?
Just curious. :aok

So no? :(

Interesting thing, from a few things I've read, I get the impression that many if not mosts jugs were hot-rodded in the field to pull ~70" on the MP on WEP. This includes some razor-backs. This is what gives the P47N its dramatic increase in WEP performance over the D-40. One wonders what the lighter and less draggy razorbacks could do with this sort of power...

Well, I also wondered if there were faster Razor-backs? I guess a razorback with a (for example) D-40s engine... From what I've seen, the Razor-back is alot tougher than the bubble canopy P-47's. I shot a P-47D-11 with 5 30mm taters to nothing but aileron and flaps (2 shots on the same wing) on 1 wing, aileron on the other and engine oil/rudder... I finally finished it off w/ my bbs... Those things are TOUGH! :aok
