Title: New Instal problems

AH crashes machine before I can log on.

New Install

XP-Home
MSI K9MM-V MB
AM2 X2 Athlon Dual-core CPU  (have done all the mods Skuzzy suggested)
ATI Radeon 850 pro  (installed latest catlyst drivers)

Any ideas?

Did you right click AH2 Shortcut and choose properties/compatibility Win98/Me for starters?

I use the 4.12 drivers for my 850, new is NOT better in this case. Make sure you have sound set up too. Post your Dxdiag.

compatibility checked.

I will look into getting older drivers.
