Do-335 in allied markings.What plane is that in the background?

To be more precise, that's a former Ju-290 A4 (Werk-Nr 0165), rebuilt to be the prototype for the A7 series. Was captured by US troops, later tested at Freeman Field, before being scrapped.

The Do 335 looks like A-1, WNr 240161 given USAAF test number FE-1012. If it is, its wing was used to rebuild the NASM 335.

What's really scary is that long before your picture loaded, I knew which one it was based on Lusche's response. I really need to get a life. :(
