Towd, although I don't know the history of your vice with Pyro, name calling and personal insults should never be tolerated, especially if directed toward the makers of the very same game you are flying, even if yes you are a faithful paying customer. It is something they should never be expected to put up with. Trash the game all you want, but when it becomes personal that's just wrong.
Although my tolerance for the numerous lockups have hit an allt ime high, 52 sorties, 25 lockups, had to reboot, I will never call HT or Pyro a name. They are hard at it. As a paying customer I demand my product to work flawlessly, or else I can always go elsewhere. Note: no lockups whatsoever with first 1.06 release and patch 1. Total frustration with patch 2, 3, and yes I've tried everything.

As far as im concerned this is an issue between HTC and Towd, HTC are big boys/girls and im sure they can defend themselfs (wich they did).

could be taken in the context that you placed it Saintaw. I wish I hadn't said that..buts it's out there and I take full reponsibility for it. I apologize to any and all who are offended by that comment, however my feelings remain the same regarding the rest of my post.

towd has been banned from our little slice of virtual reality. The sad thing is: Someone, somewhere has to deal with that guy for real.

Naw, don't know why people think an internet attitude is just a shadow of their RL attitude. More times than not, I'd say internet attitudes are the exact opposite of what people are really like in RL. I bet towd is a real nice guy if you met him.

Its not like it matters, Fscott. How he acts in our real life doesnt matter since we are dealing with him online, where he uses his crybaby personality.
Its all a moot point anyways, since hes gone.

Yup, I am "me" all the time. This is probably why I do some pretty dumb things in here that don't produce the desired effect.
In real life I have people upset with me every single day. I learned long ago a few skills in conflict resolution. I very often "take it upon myself" in an argument and accept blame or fault even if it is not justifiably mine in order to resolve the conflict. In most cases this works, sometimes it doesn't. Every now and then you run across someone who doesn't care about the right or wrong of a situation, they only desire the conflict itself. In my encounters with our recently departed brother I found that either I completely misunderstood him or he seemed to thrive on conflict, or both.
I have tried to communicate with anyone that I ever had an argument with in AH. In this particular case I did not sense that I made any headway. Again, that may be as much my fault as anyone else's but I, like Yeager, felt that he wanted me to dislike him. Once I had drawn that conclusion I no longer attempted rational conversation beyond occasional rebuttals to obviously inane, flame-inducing hypebole.
I don't even like discussing this person in this manner, and in most cases would deem it entirely inappropriate. The danger I see here is that some may be attempting to make a martyr out of this person, and that is definitely not just. That point should be clearly made right away- this person chose his path and knew full well what he was doing. He knew he was pushing the boundaries of allowable behavior and basically dared Pyro to take whatever action he did.
So, for those standing on Towd's shoulders to make some statement about censorship, allowable behavior, or whatever else be careful. Towd is not a good poster boy for those of us who got to know his online personna.

Is this a public board or a private board? I hope this doesnt open the flood gates for the banning of subscribers and non-subscribers that voice their opinions. If a said individual really torqued me off (lol torque where the heck is that guy) I squelch the individual. If there is a post that offends me I ignore the thread. My perception of the HTC vs TOWD bickering was that more of a rivalry or so I thought.
Banning vs ignoring I guess there is a break point for everyone. I just think banning people for what they say is wrong.

Pollock this board is owned and run by HTC. They can ban lock threads put porno adds on it or whatever else they decide. While I couldnt care less, the majority of people here sound greatfull.

Its too bad he engaged his mouth before his brain becuase I bet the ban would have been temporary and he WAS still able to post here...
Word of advice, when you are in a deep hole its a good idea to quit digging. There are a few people in the world i dont like but I dont resort to name calling and threats. I just avoid them or put up with them If I cant. You dont have to like someone to be polite.

Westy, its not just "whats to defend" its also whats to gloat about.
Towd is a good stick that has real trouble dealing with the stresses he felt playing AH. I know he loved the game and will miss it. But obviosly a change had to be made. He was getting worse.
If he does read this I hope he will think twice about his next stop in the digital skies.
WW2OL or whatever wont help if anger and attitude cannot be controled to acceptable limits. And I think that acceptable limits in this game and board are pretty libral.
What Im saying is that there are some problems you cant run away from. I would suggest that simular frustrations will result in simular behavior and simular results where ever you fly. If this was not an online business you could well be talking to the police right now. Think about that.
And for what? A game and anger at the man that made it for you?
I enjoyed flying with you at times. But even a year ago you were in trouble vocalizing your anger on RW and on channel 1.

The deed seems to have been done. I'm ok with it and I'm done talking about it. Now it's turning into the making of a deliquent martyr.
