Title: Why do troops have icons?

Hi All,
I know HTC just luuuve the icon threads.....

I did raise this as part of another thread but thought it warranted it's own moment of glory..

Anyway. Why do troops have icons? It makes the too easy to spot (and shoot) no other AI features of the game have them so why do troops. Ack doesn't have a big "Here I am" flag stuck above it does it? So why do troops? If we could lose the troops icons troops could be dropped off outside the field perimeter and sneak into the maproom. It would make it a lot harder for M16's etc to spot them and (IMO) add a certain realism which is missing at the moment. Most installation captures should comprise of an off field ground force as well as the airborne assult required now.
