Isn't there a way the distance dots could merge with the background color gradually depending on distance? Instead of seeing a black dot half a sector away, it would be (say if it were a silver plane) a slightly lighter speck on the blue sky backdrop (or slightly darker if it were a darker plane)? it would gradually get more contrast as it came nearer. This would work for GVs also.
There must be an easy way to do this. It would make scanning more realistic.

I agree. This has also been discussed before. I hope we see this soon as it would make it much better for low flying green planes (C-47) to hide while over the forests and green pastures.

I predict much whining about British, Japanese and some American aircraft if this gets put in.

That's the way it is in WarBirds. You actually have to *LOOK* to see far off planes. I like it that way.

Also I've noticed that the dots have a minimum size of something like 4 pixels. I would make it 1 pixel. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
