Title: Thanks from SAPP for the good fights tonight
Post by: Guppy35 on July 14, 2008, 11:31:55 PM: We got a lot of 38s up tonite and had some good fights. Many thanks to those that flew with us and those who shot at us for all the fun. It was "Lucky Lindy gets a kill" night as back in July 44 Charles Lindbergh was flying with the PTO 38s to show them how to get better range. During a flight in late July he got a kill so we figured we'd up 475th FG skins and use that as our theme for the night.

All three squadrons of the 475th represented in the screenshot. Red trim for the 431st, Yellow for the 432nd and Blue for the 433rd. We had 20+ 38 drivers up and about at different times tonite and really enjoyed it.

Post by: zoozoo on July 14, 2008, 11:35:19 PM: I got cought up with 10+ SAPP 38's at 15k in my low 262 at 4k. All of them dove on me and i managed to make it home only to explode on the runway for no reason when i landed. :cry

Highest I got was 10 and you were zooming around in the 262. Like a 38G is gonna catch ya :)

Most of the 38 flying was 7-8K and below. Was shocked when I was at 10k that there were so many planes above me :)

Figured 2-3K was fine then as they were gonna have to come down either way :aok

It's still formation...vast and I just wanted to be different! :P

That's also the sortie i got 12 kills in then got stranded with 8 on my 6 :)

Had lots of fun as always Dan. Look forward to the next SAPP nite (Let's do a 20th FG pleeeeeeeeease :pray)
