I know!

I've got those damnable leg shakes and facial twitches again.....I'm scared to go to bed and sleep tonight!

I just know I'm gonna have those old SpittyV and La7 Nightmares all over again  :uhoh

And I was doing so well :cry

The more old fighter sticks that return to the fold the better, even if one is an incorrigible Lgay7 dweeb :lol If enough return perhaps we will revisit the glory days when fun fights were the ultimate goal and all of the other stuff was just background noise. Playing wack-a-mole with the vulching milk-hordes allergic to actually fighting each other on HUGE maps feels a lot like Bill Murray trying to get that damn gopher on the golf course in "CaddyShack", forever chasing it down one hole, just to have it pop up at another. People like Fester, Levi and Shane will help imbue the young-uns with the idea that, "Hey, fightering just for its own sake is really cool!", perhaps making actually fighting more glamorous and popular than milk-hording undefended fields again....

I guess I'm supposed to feel blessed by his immature blabbering on 200 today???

He couldnt even explain was a "castrati" was.  Is he 12 or 15yo?

I'll put $100 on it that he sticks to the "big 4" or maybe the K4 to keep whatever e-noodle he has from going limp.  Like most of the supposed "l337", you wont see him tango in a 25+ ENY plane.

Oh well...

Who, in your mind, is supposedly "1337"?  I've seen many, if not all, of the guys I consider good tango in high eny birds.  Stang, Delirium, Furball, m00t, skyrock, and the list goes on.

He's actually a pretty good stick, he just whines a lot. He'll use the excuse that he flies an LA7 to chase down runners but anyone who cares realizes that it's just a crutch. He'll get shot down because he has inferior SA or tunnel vision for a particular pilot, I dunno which. Then he'll get on 200 and blame everyone else for jumping his low slow plane, as if it's anyone else's fault but his that his plane is vulnerable to attack. He's amusing, you just have to know him for what he is, an amusing whiner.

Oh well...

Well I certainly recall him smacking the heck out of me a "few" times back in the day.  Sure, sometimes he was in that blasted La-7 (*and flying it in a way that deserves no belittling), but others you'd find him in early model P-47's and F4U-1's.  Gotta remember the -1's ENY was rediculous back when he was flying.  Much higher than 25+.

I will never forget the time I was cruising along at maybe 12-15k on Trinity, just south of A1 one evening.

Five dots to the north of me...  Head that way...

*BOOM!* one dot gone...

Four dots to the north of me, keep going...  Visual...  3 friendlies, 1 enemy.

Like a castrati, as he would say, keep on going "oh boy, easy pick!"

*BOOM!* one friendly gone...

Keep heading that way...

*BOOM!* another friendly gone...

Dumbfounded and with head cocked to side like a confused dog, I keep heading that way...

*BOOM!*

Last friendly gone

Arrive on the scene, put up best fight I can.  About 5-10 seconds later...

*BOOM!*

System: Shane shot you down

----

This game just got an awful lot more interesting.  Welcome back, Shane :)

gonna have to be bothered to find a film hosting site... already have a few interesting films that show great use of angles.  the flying is like i never left almost... just a matter of time for gunnery to fall back into place.

Welcome back, Shane!

The problem is fighting a La7 is that you rarely ever run into one that knows what they are doing.

We have run into good hog, 51, spit, P38, P47 pilots... how many good la7 pilots have you run into where you can see its capabilities?

Besides, the La7 isn't denounced like it used to be, I think the Spit16 has taken that spot.

Actually if you look at the numbers, the XVI has fallen back a bit as has the LA7.  N1K seems to be the ride of choice for many now.

I did battle with a Shane08 yesterday over TT island. I assume this is "Shane"? It was refreshing fighting a LA that didn't turn and run. He choose to turn with a Hurri when 99% of people who fly those things flee with their rudder between their legs. It was fun, and I'm looking forward to running into him again  :salute
