I live near what is supposed to be the largest indoor water park in the US. (In other words, most of the year the weather here is for crap...who'd go outside?) But anyway, talking to one of the kids who lifeguards there I found out that the "not really a candy bar" happens about every other day. It's the primary reason the pools close unpredictably now and then.
