Post by: Yarbles on July 17, 2008, 05:59:53 AM
Why do we have a score section in atack scores for Field captures when we cant capture a base in atack mode?

Perhaps what you want to know is in one of these 30 other threads on the topic:

Search is your friend.

[EDIT]  Oops, I see it didn't return the results.  Type "Attack Capture" into the search field in quotation marks.

I could almost swear that while jealously looking at Lusche's score many tours ago, that he had a capture in attack score. Maybe as a pilot, he bailed and ran in the map room?

All attack captures are deleted from a player's score by the system. You can (that is at least it used to be that way) get an attack capture doing what you mentioned, but the next day it will be gone.

However, it's not erased from a squad's score, so if you're going for a 1337 squad attack rank, that's a must. The problem is: Nobody cares about squad rank #'s  - for a good reason

:D

i had one once i think.. i had flown a c-47 in, pushed my troops out, and then kept going. i got shot down fairly quickly, and re-upped in a hurri2 to come back and cap the field. the troops catured, and it gave me the map room destroyed message.
that was last year i think....

Years ago, I sat on that info for quite awhile before it became common knowledge  :D
