Here is a wish from us that suffer from red / green colorblindness....a setting for color of icon text....they tend to blend in with the ground =)

Odd, I too suffer from the same thing Nike.

I was over at HTC one day, and HT was showing me some stuff, which went something like this:

HT:  See this ICON
Me:  What ICON?
HT:  <points> That ICON
Me:  <confused> What ICON?
HT:  You can't see that?
Me:  See what?

We both got a good laugh about it.

This is the reason I only fly buffs.  I am also one of the few buff pilots who really needs a gunner, as I cannot see an enemy plane below me, no matter what.

Maybe one day we will get the ability to turn off friendly ICONS, and set the color of enemy ICONS.  A nice yellow ICON would go a long way for me.

Of course, once we get a navy and start fighting over blue water, then I might be able to fly fighters.

This particular problem, apparently, is pretty widespread in males.  Its actually called "pastel color-blind".  We actually suffer from not being able to see a specific spectrum of color.  Once that spectrum is presented in front of us, any color that is a harmonic of that spectrum is negated, thus we lose the ability to see that color.

"a setting for color of icon text"

Been asking for this for years.  I can see the red icons just fine, so it's no longer a problem for me, but I can sympathize with you guys.  (The purple icons in WB were next to invisible for me.)

Yep, any colors but red and green please!  10% of males have trouble with those two colors.

Yup same here,

Strangley I can see the icons fine if they are against the ground but can't make them out at all against the blue of the sky.

I feel the pain, I am red/green/brown color deficient as I like to say.  I have a hard time flying near the ground, or in these clouds, or weather fronts whatever they are.  But this game is def not color blind friendly.  Anyway we can change it if we fill out a card after miserably failing a color blind test that allows us to change certain colors?  I agree yellow works great on ground back ground, but red well I have a hard time seeing.  Green well lets just not go there.

legally blind but was corrected in '90 with RK (before it was a laser thing). I sympathize with you guys, it must be hard.

Red/Green (when mixed together) /Hue blind here.

I can only see icons below the horizon when I keep my plane straight and watch out for movement below (so hey, now you know, when a P-38 is on your 6 just dive down and fly straight.. I wont see you lol).

HT, please add a setting for color icon text, only color blind pilots would have any real use for it.

Perhaps for patch 2 of 1.06?

.... guys this aint working... we need to hit HT's soft spot if he's gonna put this in. What kind of scotch did he like again?  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Would a filter on the monitor not help? To make a red con yellow you need a green filter of approximately the same intensity.

Anybody want to try?  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I sometimes hit the monitor so the torn cable will make my whole monitor turn yellow tint. Oh yes, them icons pop up at that point..look blackish. But the friendly icons dissapear LOL.

HT PLEASE. Its VERY unfair for us color blind pilots to have this severe handicap!  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
