These guys, "tards", are considered enemy combatants.  When in past history have enemy combatants been given legal status?  If I recall, many German soldiers in WWII were incarcerated for years before the war was over.  They did not receive legal status.  For crying out loud, they are POW's and do you libs remember what these crackpots did to us?  Our soldiers that have been captured have not enjoyed the level of comfort that these TERRORISTS have at Gitmo.

Chauffeurs, he lowest form of criminal.  Boy this guy is something else, a real criminal mastermind, we should be very afraid of him. Hey lets lock him up in a secret prison and deny his rights as a human being.

If he is guilty of a crime, let the courts decide.

It's freakin nuts... enemy combatants; in civil courts?

Cripes, yet another example of the half assed way we went at this war. When yah go to war yah build prison camps for POW's. You toss enemy combatants in there, pump 'em fer usable info and keep 'em outta circulation. When the war is over they get their case reviewed by a military tribunal to determine if, while under arms, they committed crimes against humanity. If not, you send 'em back to Mullahville, if so; then you put on a show trial and shoot their asses.

But nooooooooooooooo.... we gotta wage war 'ala carte'.

Freakin dummasses.

Have you read what this guy did.  Let's read it again.

Quote
From 1996 through 2001, Hamdan allegedly delivered weapons, ammunition or other supplies to al Qaeda members and associates, picked up weapons at Taliban warehouses for al Qaeda use and delivered them directly to Saif al Adel, the head of al Qaeda’s security committee, in Qandahar, Afghanistan.

Sounds like a model citizen in my book.

In no way are we denying human rights and in no way is Gitmo a secret.  We follow the Geneva Convention with these scum.  They are Prisoners of War or enemy combatants.  As stated before, German POWs in WWII were not given access to the courts.  They don't need to be charged with a crime. POWs are just that.  Prisoners until the war is over or an exchange is worked out.

And by the way, do these people follow the Geneva Convention with our soldiers that they capture.  I don't belive so.  If I recall correctly, they captured some of our troops, cut their heads off and hung them upside down from a bridge.  Who is denying whom your "rights as a human being."

I agree, we should always err on the side of kindness when it comes to active, albeit minor participants in terrorist activity.

I understand if you can't stop yourself from hugging trees... But for all our sakes, try to avoid hugging Psilocybic mushrooms, no matter how strong the urge.
