"Let me tell ya bout white chicks" - Dark Brothers

Das Boot

Ignore the cover the romance is very fleeting. 6 hours of Spitfires and a lot of repeat footage from Battle of Britain (my #2 favorite) but still lots of original stuff and laughs and a real flavor of war. I read in someones post that this is where the early AW guys got their callsigns. RAM and Moggy... funny no one wanted to be called Flash.

These polls never allow for more than one answer, so mine's a random pick from the top 20 of my fav movies list that's worth mentioning: "Welcome to Wop wop". Completely diddlyed up, a real nightmare.

Strange Brew

Gonna aim for an off the wall suggestion and recommend "The Cremaster Cycle". Very abstract.

Gonna follow M00t's lead since there are plenty of other GREAT movies.
Once Upon A Time In The West (Best showdown ever, Henry Fonda made an incredible bad guy)
Rollerball w/ James Caan (Disturbing view of future society)
Flight of the Phoenix w/ Jimmy Stewart (what airplane guy doesn't like the premise?)
Dark Blue World 2001 (Czech pilots during Battle of Britain, See this movie! and let me know what you think of the "bicycle flying")
Enter The Dragon (Yeah, I know. But I'd be just another fat, middle-aged slob if it weren't for Bruce motivating me as a kid. Now I'm a dangerous fat, middle-aged slob :D)
Forbidden Planet (a landmark for 50's Sci-Fi)
The Day The Earth Stood Still (ditto)
The Shootist (no comment necesary)
Dark Star (Totally off the wall. "You are false data" :rofl)

Nope. I was in Junior High when it came out, and a WW2 history junkie even then. I was amazed that they even tried to make those "Tigers" look like an actual Tiger. Sure they were T34/85s underneath but they looked the part. The US guys looked worn and tired as opposed to Patton where everyone looked like they hadn't seen a second of combat. I don't know what you could do to improve on the original. How would you replace any of the characters with better actors? Oddball, Kelly, Crap Game, Big Joe, Moriarity....Jeez what a great movie.
All those burning bridges......

There are WAY too many but one oldie that never lets me down is The Jerk. Classic lines:
"Mom, Dad, I've got rythm"
"I've got a special purpose!"
"Someones shooting at those cans"
"Ahhh... it's a profit deal"
And of course, who can forget the touching love balad "I'm picking out a thermous for you".
