Title: One of Communism's Triumphs
Post by: slipknot on July 18, 2008, 09:23:57 AM
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryugyong_Hotel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryugyong_Hotel)

Began construction in 1987 and is still, well, under construction. One of the most attractive buildings too.

Capitalism has really met its match.

North Korea only spent 2% of its GDP on that hotel.

DPRK must be as rich as GDR in the mid to late 1980s.

No, but I suspect he will be among the first to claim that:

1.)   That hotel doesn't exist; or
2.)   It is open, booked to capacity and functioning smoothly.
