We had a great time last night. This time we were on the receiving end with the 49th. We were still climbing to out assigned altitude when we made contact with alt dis-advantage. We proceeded to get smacked around. 6 of us were able to limp back with our tails between out legs.
:salute 49th.

Great series of swirling dervishes you all were in those 47-N's too. I latched onto Goat and only managed to give him a leak and maybe a flap loss. At least he was grounded when he got back so I spose I did my job there. ;)
Swell fights guys, you provded much sweating of palms for the entire 49th that was present.
:aok
Poor Goat1 damn good evasives man, you made for a hard target to tag. :salute

Flatiron found the brake pedal on his P-47. I came on his six started firing. He broke left then right then right then zip he was behind me shooting.
Luckily all I lost was a flap, that was a nice move Flat. I enjoyed the fights we had going with you guys until I got discoed a few minutes later.

Split the group in this one. We saw groups of bombers passing beneath us and I sent the 350th after one because they had an opportunity to intercept. HQ flight and the 351st pressed on to the point of contact made by the 327th squadron after we reported the position and heading of the bombers. As Hamblue said, we had yet to reach our patrol altitude which was where you were :O
:salute 49th, 880 FAA and The Army of Muppets, good fights with worthy adversaries, looking forward to round three.

Was turning my Dora around inside the dogfight and "Luck oh Luck" had a P-47 Turn right in front of me! :O
Locked on him and opened fire and knocked some stuff off of him and gave him a fuel leak in the right wing but that is when my luck deserted me and went over to the Allies. He was obviously having trouble with his controls and I had him pegged to the barn door at d200 - BUT COULDN'T HIT HIM FOR ANYTHING! :cry
He finally got his Jugg back under control and just then my wingman called he was in trouble so I let him dive away.
Salute to that pilot, was some very good maneuvers at close range there.
:salute 353rd FG!
