On board sound Falcon bad.
-
Whenever you have more than one sound device you are effectively doubling the overhead for all sounds to be played due to the way Windows works.
Move the hardware acceleration sliders to 3/4 from Full as you have no hardware to accelerate sound. It is just changing the CPU priority for playing sounds. USB devices are the worst for this.
-
OK,It didnt click until you said it skuzzy, but I see that the lifechat is a seperate sound channel..I wonder,if I got rid of the program for the lifechat, and just plugged it into a usb port would it still work?

I have no idea what that product is. I see it is using the usbaudio driver which is a very CPU intensive driver.
-
Its my monitor with the built in mic with the usb running to the onboard sound card. :uhoh
