For the uncultured like me.....

Ouzo (ούζο) is an anise-flavored liqueur that is widely consumed in Greece. It is similar to French pastis, or Italian Sambuca, or south slavic mastika or Turkish rakı, but a little sweeter and smoother. It can be drunk neat or mixed with water.

I remember(well most of) a DHL christmas party (thrown by the company no less) in a little greek restaurant where the Ouzo was free but you had to pay for cola. good times, good time.

Feel free to have as many shots as you want....smash a few special plates....then dance in a circle and say OPA!!!

Then you can say you have been to a REAL Suburban Chicago Greek Wedding.

If you can't find your car keys until 10AM the next day---it's probably a blessing!

OPA!!!!
