Title: WinZip?
Post by: zarkov on July 21, 2008, 12:41:22 PM
Do newer versions of Windows, i.e. Vista, have zip and unzip built in?

If not, where can I get free version of WinZip?  I tried www.winzip.com but it seems to be a pay version and the free version link looks like it's anything but.

Thanks,

Z

I've heard bad things just about any software.

7-Zip Is not perfect but is open source and it's free, lightweight and it does job. If you want better GUI and more features, there's plenty of pay software.

XP has zip/unzip built in.  I would guess Vista does too.
