General Motors today showed off the much-anticipated 2010 Chevrolet Camaro to the media. The vehicle will be built at GM's Oshawa, Ontario, plant in Canada.

Ed Peper, vice president of Chevrolet, said the V-6 version of the vehicle will get an estimated 26 miles per gallon while the V-8 version will get an estimated 23 mpg.

"And we are still working on it," Peper said.

Sales begin in the first quarter of 2009.

Wow, my 2001 Mustang gets 27-30 MPG....

my 89 was doing in the ballpark of 20-24.....and ran 12.20's :D

but then, lets see? back in 64, ford hit us with the mustang. i think it took chevy till 67? to get their copy up and for sale?

then they stop building it. now they're planning to re-introduce it....once again, copying from ford....and going retro..........guess some things never change.....

Wow.  It does look just like a Mustang.  If I had to choose between the one built in Canada or the one built in Dearborn Michigan, I would go with the Mustang.

I refuse to buy or pay any attention to anything not designed / built and sold in america, BY americans FOR americans.

Period.

This car may have "american made" in the 50's+ , now'a'days its just another cloned cheap rip off with nothing holding to its old soul, but a name and memory's of what once was.

Down with GM, down with ford, down with anyone who ships our buiesness to other nations and corperations.
Take your budweiser, take your cars, take your clothing and sit on it.

Is that the new way of the world, to take everything american made and clone it?

cute.

And never mentioning the word MOPAR    :rofl

I also love the look on the Ford and Chevy guys' faces when Hemi-spherical heads are the subject.       :noid

Not much really made in the U.S. these days, guys.

I DON'T THINK CHEVY HAD TOO much to compete with the hemi, although ford had the SOHC 427, and the side oiler 427.....

also, ford built a hemi long before chrysler even thought of it. ford built a 392 hemi in the late 50's, but it wasn't as successful as the 426.

and if ya wanna get to raw speed and power....then take fords cobra. ac ace mated to a 427= stupid crazy fast car :D :O

as for the new camaro looking lioke a mustang, look at the 67 camaro too. it was the first year for a camaro, and looked amazingly like the stang.

I remember thinking the first time I saw Transformers, during the fight between Barricade (Shelby Mustang) and Bumblebee, (Camaro concept) that scene must have been the result of wishful thinking at GM. It's probably the first time a Camaro ever got the upper-hand against a Mustang. :D

I just bought the biggest Webber barbeque they make with every option I could. American Made I though should last me the rest of my life. I opened the box and to my dismay I had to peel many many made in China stickers off of it.  :huh
