Title: Kill tally sortie after sortie?

HI

Does the game keep tally of kills sortie after sortie if u survive to land? Ive seen some guys run up a score of almost 40 kills and its impossible to do that in one flight. Yet whenever I land with a few kills the kill tally starts at zero when I take off again. Does something specific have to be done to keep them going?

They keep going if you use the refueling pads at the end of the runway.

 At either end of the main runway on aircraft bases there is a "pad" with a kind of checker board pattern off to the side.
