I can't get any movement in tanks or whirbles by mapping my joystick. Does anyone have a mapping solution for a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for tanks, vehicles, boats? I can get the engine to start, other than that, I'm stuck and not moving. Help.
Thanks,

Sounds like you might have check the "auto" mode switch option in Options->Controls->Map Controllers. All well and good, but if you did not map "Mode 2", then vehicles and boats will act like you described.
Either map "Mode 2" in Options->Controls->Map Controllers, or uncheck the "auto" switch mode option in "Map Controllers".
That is my best guess.

Skuzzy,
I'm trying to map mode 2. I can get the engine to start but and other functions like views, etc. I cannot get the tanks to move forward and I think it's because i don't know what to use for throttle function, etc. I can make the gear shift indicators move, but no forward progress. I think I'm missing something for forward movement?

Start by copying the "Mode 1" settings to "Mode 2". There is a button for that. It is not intuitive, but the same X and Y axis commands for a plane work for the vehicle as well. Push forward to throttle, pull back to slow down. Left to turn left, and right to turn right.
But the commands are the same as the plane. Elevator and aileron controls.

With the 3D pro I found that the throttle needed to be set on full throttle. Then using joystick forward to move back to brake and reverse.
