Title: I cant...see!
Post by: BaDkaRmA158Th on July 23, 2008, 04:58:40 PM
Hey all, while flying last night i noticed once again the knights on most fronts flying into the sun, blinded like useual.

What i would like to know, is does each country get they're own "blind time" or is it something to do with *where* the sun is placed in the game room of aces high.

"Would a sun that rotates around the game room like the hands of a clock, be more effective?"

I am just wondering, don't get me wrong..some times i think if the knights knew exactly how many enemy they are going up against, we might just stay home and not play. ;)

As far as I know the sun moves. At 6 AM gametime it rises in the east, then moves via straight up to go down in the west at 6 PM game time.

Umm... It happened to bishies a lot last night. I couldn't see anything while going to attack rooks. But it did give me the advantage of coming out of the sun to attack. :rock  :rock

let me guess the sun is a spy.  will there ever be an end to this.

The sun blinds ALL sides equally it doesnt discriminate against anybody.  Fly at an angle to it.

Just do away with the sun. I am tired everytime I turn on a westward heading the sun is there to blind the hell out of me. I try using the canopy to block it.

We need a good suitable balance for the sun....
hmmmm
Let me think, what would balance out a bright sunny day.. it'll have to be longish, maybe not as long as the day, unless the day was shorter, and possibly darkish... what on earth could that be?

The sun unbalances the game it blinds only certain countries at certain times thus its unfair we need to get rid of it.  :noid

Depends on the time...

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade...

What I love to do is use the sun as COVER, grab a dive bomber, and come out of the sun, you'll show on dar, but they can't shoot what they can't see :]

Thank you.  :salute

Most of the time i encounter it at a east heading, perhaps it always happens because of the time i play, and why it does not bother a lot of other people.

I had an idea similar last night, but a little diffrent. What if we could have a command were we can get rid of text, and used the black shaded area that is used for the text, as a sort of tint/ sunglasses.

What would you think of that?

I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate not seeing text. Most certainly worth a try if its a feature that can be activated and is disabled by default.

I already requested sooper kool perky sunglasses...

Well, actually I requested the authentic sun 'shield'.
A piece of flimsy dark plastic you would hold up to the sun and wallah...

But... no dice.

I have the solution!

Deal with it.

You sir...
Are a GENIOUS!!  :salute

The countries have a random starting position on the map. It isn't fixed as to which country gets which side of the map when the arena starts.

All of the astrological elements are as correct as possible. Even the stars are in their corect positions...however I'm not sure if they're based upon a certain timeframe or if they're dynamic with current date.
