Well, the title is the question: how safe is it if I were to close down all Norton & Sysmantec stuff whilst running Aces High. I would do this by using Alacrity PC.

I would close down Norton permanently

If you aren't running anything else over the internet, and aren't infected before hand its highly unlikely that you'll end up with a virus. Unless your singled out by haxXorZ. Then your screwed anyway.

u cannot get an virus if ur gaming and have nothing open. Your anti virus has a firewall but windows has a firewall too. If you are uncomfortable shutting anti virus off permantly just kill it while ur gaming. I think aces high has to make it through 2 firewalls if you have anti v running and someguys are experience disco probs

If you have all other applications shut down and have been keeping up with the Microsoft Windows updates, you are fine to shutdown your anti-virus programs while playing Aces High II. Your computer will not get a virus through the game.

Yossarian,
I've dumped all virus and disk doctor type programs since 2003 or before. Never had a problem.
