Now if we just had a nice Spitfire XII in 41 Squadron markings to escort them in the summer and fall of 43.......:)

Very nice!  Long ago, I ran a small mission with a couple of 25 C's and P40's.  Had maybe 2 buffs and 3 fighters.  ALL made it back.  Our alt was 12 to 15k over a hot area.  Fighters each nicked a few kills.  Surprised that any of us made it back let alone all of us with smiles all around.

I keep looking at photos, it helps to have a large collection of books, and I keep trying different things.
