Title: propwash question...
Post by: trigger2 on July 25, 2008, 01:55:26 PM
Although we can't feel the effects of things such as propwash, I was wondering if they still affect our flight.

For example, does propwash cause some speed changes, plane reaction times etc... to worsen, without really feeling the effects i.e. turbulance?

My in game experience says no, there is no effect.  I never notice any changes flying in and out of my flight leaders propwash. Good question!

I don't think I've ever played a flight sim that had propwash... I really with we did in this game. Imagine if a lala got behind a zooming P-38.. all you would have to do is balls to the wall and watch him fall out of the sky heheh.

Propwash and wingtip vortices could be a coding nightmare.
It would be nice to have, an extra added touch of realism, the squeakers would HATE it, which in itself is a compelling argument for it.
Perhaps HT could chime in with some of the issues relating to adding this feature?

Thanks guys, I agree, it'd be nice to have, but as pointed out... it'd be a coding nightmare... so HT... whatda you have to say about this?
