In the DA, if someone is de-acking bases, bombing FH's taking down DAR... etc, please have a mod or a way to keep them from doing that. The other night, a player (I will not say) had the entire field de-acked and then was vulching and bombing people trying to take off in his Tempest. I died twice and it with held me from a good fight in the DA for almost 10 minutes. Please HTC, make the building indestructible or make ack stronger.
Everyone's complaining, atleast this one is Legit.

no but after 1000 "T3H T4RD CV 4CK IS KILLING ME, I DONT WANNA RE-EVALUATE MY TACTICS SO I'LL WHINE ON HERE TILL SOMETHING ELSE SLIGHTLY DISPLEASES ME!!!" thing gets old. I've seen it too much, maybe in your 262, if puffy ack shoots at you, you can be smart enough to go around it. I've never had CV ack kill me in 1 volley, nor any squadie/teammate that I fly with.

Really? last night the CV was hardly visible. The very first single puff took out my radiator while turning onto a CON at 300mph approx 8k alt, 2nd,3rd burst hit again no damage, 4th burst took out one aileron before I was finally able to dive under 3,000ft and later ditch.

Actually, I dont see how it can be that common. Is it? I think it happened to me once, many moons ago. Of course, I dont play that much anymore either, so my opinion, nor my experiences are really in any way valid. Not to say I haven't been nailed when I had it coming. ;)

Just like the jets, the Temp should also be disabled from the DA's main area . Nothing can catch it just like the jets. IMO the fun factor of the DA has been greatly diminished because of them.
Down time of ACK in that area could easily be reduced and is another legitimate spoil factor that could also be easily fixed with a click of a mouse.

Upping damage will prevent anyone from coming close to the base and sometimes you have to get close.

Bombers are part of the DA. if a geek wants to fly all the way to the Lake with one let him. They die quick for no reason.
Down time makes sense for that area alone.

Yes, but if HTC tones it down, you'll be right back here on the boards complaining about how it's too vulnerable.
Personally I wish he'd ban the guy from DA.
It would be nice if HTC would post up an Arena Message with some simple DA rules. ex:
1. Bombing and/or De-acking bases is not allowed.
2....
3....
4....
( I can't think of anything else because this is the only thing that's really gotten me mad so far.)

I wish they would have 300 mph wind blowing straight down at 10k in the furball section. 8k is probably as high as you need to go if you intend on fighting, but seems like the furball area is half full of nothing but pick dweebs. It never stops amazing me that a single con will be getting ganged by 2 or 3 and then 4 more will join in.

Yea, I'd like that, but 10k wind would be hard to model in only one place as there is the high alt bases. It just seems that in Febuary, the DA was full of fun fights, but after 5 months, it's what it is now. I cant go up a Hurri 1 to actually furball. I'll get picked by the dweeb lurking in Space above my Base.

I had a noobnight with a couple of friends a bit ago, and we bombed ackack, not for vulching, and if someone does that to you guys, do what my squad used to do...
We call it a 'Rape and Pillage'

make it where your ack kills you like it actually would in real life. You never HAVE to get close to ack, thats your dumb decision to follow a runner into the ack. And if you follow a runner that long you are suffering from target fixation, b/c there is usually many more targets to choose from in the middle of the lake.

There is NO reason to take Temps from the DA when you can do the exact same picking and running in different aircraft. There ARe planes that can catch Temps, especially on the deck (where most fights are in the DA)

Why are bombers part of the DA again? If bombers have a part in the DA then so do jets. Whats the point in taking bombers up in the DA? If it's because "I can actually see when i destroy targets" then take a trip to the TA and you'll see some changes made

Similiar story yesterday. Two of us flying at +/- 9000' and approximately 8k from the carrier. Maybe furthur as it was barely visible. Travelling at 300+. My buddy took 3 hits over a period of 20 seconds although no critical damage. I took one hit from it that took out engine, oil, and radiator instantly. It would have been less annoying if we had been after the carrier but in this case the carrier had spawned at one of those ports that are really large airfielfds but still spawn carriers. There was a furball near the base that was the true target.

I've tried it and gotten 1 CV kill from 6k away. Was really hard and it took me a long time, and I never use the CV ack guns, so if it's someone who uses it regularly, it would be easy, very easy.

The DA in general needs some major coading/revision and perhaps a new map to truly get the most out of it. Having killshooter on really handicaps the place for those who play nice and doesn't stop people who are impolite from being idiots. Of course, with the furball area what it is today, I don't really know how you could turn killshooter back off ever again, which is a shame, IMO.
Mods would also be a great addition, but I kind of doubt HTC would be for that idea for various reasons...

I'd be a mod for free personally.
I just wish these guys had some sense of honor in the DA and actually fought. I took a 109G6 to the DA today, I only saw 190s and P51s and about 5 Temps. Even though I dont wanna go back to school, maybe it will go back to normal then when school starts. :confused:

Back when he actually flew zeros... he was a great guy, I remember spending 15-20 minute dogfights with him... me in my f4f him in his zeke... now all he does is BnZ vulch and pick... so every now and then... I gotta whip out my temp and put him back into place :)

It's all I get in the DA. Belive it or not, I'm finding better fights in the MA now....

See the problem? It is you! You, should move! The guys acting like idiots should be allowed to continue their actions at any cost. You, however, better shut up and go to another field. How dare you even talk about it on a BBS?
Lets just give up. How long have I been posting about crap like that? Nothing is going to change. The behavior is encouraged because it brings in more money. So, just join them. Apparently it is fun to act like that.

Just my opinion on the DA but,
Kill shooter needs to be left on
Tempts need to go, Send them to the jet area (Recently big prob in DA)
Bombers have a place on that map and need to stay
Jets have a place on that map and need to stay
Scoring needs to stay
Time of day or color of sky could be changed to orange dusk/dawn once in a while
Time of day could be on a 2 hour cycle
Down time for ack should be shortened not strengthened
and last but by far not least

Kill shooter should only be turned off for members of the same squad. Maybe even have an arena that only squads can killl each other to keep the griefers at bay.
