This happened the other night but I didn't think much of it. I just tried to log in and the same, immediately get the message can't connect to host, the alternate route doesn't work either. Not sure what's going on... thinking maybe a firewall blocking it but I disabled Norton and still nothing.
I'm tired, finally have a few free moments to burn on something random and want to fly... grrr. Help, please.
:pray

Got a "Lost Host Connection" message today right after I bombed the last FHS at a base. I mean litteraly right after. The bombs hasd just hit, I got the "Fighter Hangar Destroyed message" then lost connection. It was weird because it was right out of nowhere, and I hadn't gotten a disco in so many months since I got rid of the dial-up.
-
yeah something is wrong I have had more disco's this week than ever had in the whole time I have played the game?
-
It doesn't even try to connect, just immediately says connection lost. There is zero contact with HTC through the game screen, like it's getting blocked or something. No problems with the BBs though. I'm at a loss here.

Tried running a renamed copy of AH.exe?
-
Not yet, but was considering a total wipe of AH from my system. It's gotta be a garbled mess of 6 years of updates on it heh.
-
You got a firewall running on your system Stang? - as it sounds like its blocking somewhere.
Otherwise, are you having any issues connecting anything to the net - internet explorer (obviously not if you can post here), messenger etc etc......

If you can get to the WEB page but cannot login without getting the "host connection lost" pr some type of cannmot connect message, then a firewall of some kind is blocking the game from accessing the Internet.
I have seen Norton get to the point where you actually have to remove it from your computer to get things working again. Disabling it does not disable it.
-
Norton always has been wierd. We had it for a year and it didn't protect our computer, it just blocked things that we actually needed to do. I'd prefer AVG if the AHII disco's werent so bad.
-
Running any anti-virus or security program, while the game is running, is always going to increase the propensity to disco.
-
Woooo can get in now, was StopZilla not Norton's... hillariously the second I popped into the MA, I got disconnected because the server update kicked it. Haha.

stang FAILS at computers. :D
