Hey, the vessel in the last photo with the hull number 530-is it a frigate? If so, what class, and how new is it? It looks' like recent construction.

Yes it is a new class, but its a corvette of the Steregushchy class and not a frigate  :)

Prolly the SS-N-9 Siren missile, or maybe the SS-N-25 Switchblade actually if its the Nanuchka III corvette.

I ALMOST like the flag on the fo'c'sle in the bottom pic. (whistlin' "Dixie"!)

Flag looks like the danish with the norwegian flag on top at a 45deg angle

Yeah those russian warships always looks like they mean business. Guns and missiles all over the place.  :rock

St. Petersburg looks like a really cool city.

I was in Moscow for like 8 hours a couple of months ago, it didn't look anywhere near as nice as St. Petersburg.

It's an old Imperial navy "jack", stern flag in harbour. Soviet "jack" was red with a big yellow star in the middle, with hammer and a sickle inside.

Now they use old Russian navy flags again.
