lay off the huge differences , black and white, large colored text, reduced lighting, and detal sharpening. I suggest taking the bare ss adding either blue effects to only the 2nd plane then playing with hue and saturation to get  a nicer final product.

oh and EDIT: try laying off of the lens flare when there is no light source within the image itself :aok
