Ok, Just happened, A spitfire rams me from a 12:00 high position as I'm trying to evade him, I guess it resulted in a pilot kill cause I was just bumped to the tower. I know for a fact that ramming the nose cone of a spitfire amidships of an F4U-D would not leave you a flyable spitfire. The spit driver gets the kill, I assume because I died first while he rode a wingless plane into the ground, and I get squat! What gives with this?
Now that there are points at stake, we need to look at the way kills are awarded.

You died because on your FE the two planes met. On his FE, the planes did not meet. Due to lag issues, you never see planes in the exact position that another player does.

Greg,
Read these threads:
Net lag, and how it distorts reality. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/Forum8/HTML/000868.html)
collisions (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/Forum8/HTML/000874.html)
You will find detailed explanations of how and why collisions work the way thet they do in them.

The collisions I hate are the ones when you are saddled up getting ready to shoot and the con microwarps backwards into your nose.
Collisions should be checked to find out if on your FE the con has made an outrageous position change just prior the collide.
