Any of the WW2 propaganda Looney Tunes would blow The Iron Giant outa the water like HMS Hood.
Any other pre-Chuck Jones Looney Tunes or any Tex Avery stuff is where the gold resides.

Defnitley any Looney Tuens cartoon.  Thye stuff today pales in comparison to the greats.  And yes,the WWII Looney Tunes are very good as well.

Coyote and Road Runner, better than Tom & Jerry IMO.

I think Tom & Jerry won several Academy Awards not that the award has meaning today so much. Both T&J and Road Runner cartoons have made me laugh so hard I nearly cried. Bugs Bunny too I think.

I'm partial to PepeLePu.

That Iron Giant show was pretty good.
All of the LoonyToons were awesome. :)

IMO Iron Giant would have been better if the Giant had STAYED blown up at the end.

Joseph Barbera and William Hanna were animation folks for MGM and made Tom and Jerry.

They moved on and formed their own animation studio after MGM shut theirs down.

Then the went on to make the Flintstones, Huckleberry hound, the Jetsons, etc.

The best animation has the voice of Mel Blanc, and of his work, my preference is Foghorn Leghorn.

Followed closely by Sylvester, then comes Bugs, Daffy, and Yosemite Sam.

I did not say pre- Fritz Freleng. His stuff is gold.
I just don't care for Chuck Jones' style.
