Title: Turing the tank turret
Post by: Greg 'wmutt' Cook on May 22, 2001, 06:31:00 PM
Is there a way to set up a keyboard key to traverse the turret in the Pnzr?  I ask because of the limits of the commander's machine-gun.  Would be nice to be able to turn the turret while in that position, instead of the whole tank.
.
And while I'm begging, Can we have the ground vehicles throttles set up like the PT Boats?  (speed controled by throttle instead of joystick)

Please????

Check the new news (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) 270 degrees of motion for minigun turret now (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

okay an easy one.. get yout tank up to speed then press the "2" position..you tank should remain at the same speed and heading.  if not check your stick config...

while in the 2 pos. you can freeling flail around your turret and piddly assed mg...  if you have a twisty stick or rudder pedals you can steer the tank with these when in the turret

Yes, but when manning the "piddly assed mg"  The turret cannot be turned, only the whole tank.  I would like to be able to have 2 seperate keys that swing the turret right and left from other positions.
.
But the greater arc of the PAMG (I like this term, And hereby give it that official nomenclature) will make life easier.

I think the accelerator model of the tank rather than using the throttle makes (annoying) sense.

It's a blatent bug but-

The MG view and the turret main gun view are linked in a special way.

If you point the MG then switch to the main gun they are pointing the exact same way. When you switch back the main gun will be centered on where the MG was pointed and the MG can rotate it's full direction again.

Using this you can pull the main gun around 360` in 3 seconds or align it anywhere you want at the speed of the cuppola MG. Good if you still like to amuse yourself sniping fighters with 75mm AP.
