Title: LA/SE TX Edouard
Post by: texasmom on August 04, 2008, 02:10:40 AM
So TxDad & 2 of the TxSons take off for a week at Houston.  Lotsa work & a short amount of time to get done while they're there... and here comes Edouard.

I sure don't like to worry about my little TxFamily.  We're used to tornado's... not hurricanes.  Anyhow, y'all down there stay safe!

Meh, I ain't too worried about this one right now.  We always seem to get hit by storms that seemingly come out of nowhere though.

Sounds good to me. I like to see that you're not worried. I'll worry when you worry. :)

little need to worry,
just put some tape on the windows, get some flashlights, a good book and when it hits you, you'll be all good  :D

This one will be interesting to watch for sure.  I am betting that if the call is sent out to evacuate most of Houston will reply with an upraised middle finger.  Lessons learned from hurricane Rita.

ok :) Then I'm not worried.  My husband isn't worried either... but he doesn't worry when he's supposed to.  Actually, that's a man-thing... I think... wait... you're a man too... are you supposed to be worried?
Now I'm worried.

Can I get a woman's second opinion here please? :)

Its looking to be a minimal hurricane at landfall  if that, but keep a close eye. Intensity is almost impossible to forecast and it wrapped up tight this afternoon. We had a nice breezy day because of it today (New Orleans) - cutting the grass wasn't that bad :)

Hey, BTW, tell your people in N.O. you're very gawddamned welcome.  We have yet to see any "thank you" from the 'chocolate city'.

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

It's not even raining over here on the west side of town.
