Thanks to Dux for the terrain updates.

New arena settings

The Training Arena is now set up to allow the destroying of enemy objects.  It should take the same amount of ord to destroy an object as it does in the MAs.   Downtimes for objects will be limited to 1 minute.

For those wishing to practice bombing CV's and ships.  There are enemy task group at both the north and south end of the bombing zones.  Please use these TGs for target practice if the Fleet vs Fleet zone is already being used.

Couple things...
1 ) nice changed to the TA terrain and settings. Feedback now will definitely help you gauge your training. I'd still like the training sites to be player controlable in there however, yes I know its one of those things we have little input on. Nice work on the Gnu terrain DUX, I'm jealous  :)
2 ) Congratulations to Snailman. Pretty sure I said so in TA but I didn't place the name. Recalled snailman on forums but when it came to associating it with Lusche my coconut added 1 + 1 it came up with 3.
3 ) IMO ALL the Trainers know whats going on, in reference to "Someone who keeps track of what the hell is going on will be a nice addition."

that's more than a couple but what the heck.

the TA is getting kind of out of hand with some of the players in there when no trainers are on.  It's getting very frustrating when i'm doing some kind of test and a noob or a well known trouble maker comes up and shoots me or something stupid as such.

On a different note i am really enjoying the terrain.  Now, as fuze said, I wish the green cross-hair for dropping bombs and rockets was player controllable like the lead computing gunsight is.  It's nice to practice without the crosshair to actually see if you learned properly.

I agree.  I've seen everything from strafing planes on the runway to bombing the base to dropping a hundred troops all over the base.

I myself will up a plane and practice my following skills on whoever's around.  I won't fire unless fired upon or permission was given.  If my "prey" calls me off, I disengage and find somewhere else to fly.

Why can't everyone be like me?  ;)

Oh yeah, love the new terrain and congrats to Snailman on the new "job".   :salute

When doing tests in TA and there are no trainers present, it is recommended to take off from remote field and perhaps diff country. That's what I do.

that's not the point.  And if i did that, how would that solve the delinquents from breaking rules. If I move to a different base, that doesn't mean they are gonna stop breaking rules.  Here lies my point I was trying to make. The new guys and/or trouble-makers are getting out of control when there is no "adult supervision" present.

As far as I remember, there were always 'few' troublemakers, but rarely it was 'out' of control. That's just how it is. Record the incidents and send the films to trainers. They'll deal with troublemakers.

as Texture/2bighorn has said: if it bothers you up from another base and from a different country.if it really bothers you.film it or right click on roster and click report, do this click report along with an additional email to the Trainers and possibly with film......

it will be delt with on OUR time, when we have proof and so forth....

and how do you test things, DicKBong?  what do you test, what are your test methods, and for what reason...........just am curious.....

btw.if HTC wants to put forth the $38 to $ 40 dollars an hour I make during the day along with a bonus to cover my commissions I earn.I would gladly quit my day job and babysit the TA on a regular workweek schedule......

or maybe all the people who complain of others in the TA may want to gather up a collection of funds to pay us to do this, instead of us volunteering our free time?  sounds like a win/win....... :D

You can use the new terrain without going to the arena if you want to practice without the cross-hair. Select 8 player, then create LAN host. Kind of lonely, but it is an option...

P.S. Most of the trainers have been laying awake at night, knowing that delinquents are breaking the rules as we sleep. We had a proposal that the trainers quit their jobs, stop sleeping or catch cat naps in front of their monitor 24-7. We're still debating it.

There needs to be some adult supervision in Washington DC, London and Tokyo also. We're forming a team of trainers to fly to each capital city to warn, mute and boot delinquent politicians from the political arenas.

(Note to readers: no trainers were injured while I wrote this reply)

Yep there are workarounds for the training site and that is by no means a large problem.
I find it funny though when people who have been "a well known trouble maker" see the light and start complaining about things they were doing them selves a few months earlier.
If those who frequent the TA politely refresh the rulebreakers memory about the rules and are persistant and polite, I was always persistant but rarely polite when I did it, we can settle it down so those poor sleep deprived Trainers can catch a few Zs.

A48 also has targets close to the south, I was thinking how bout change it to a rook base instead of A50, that way all the countries will have targets at their main field (as in the lowest numbered base available to that country, which is the default base you appear at).

Ah good, I was looking for those earlier, but I must have missed them in my CMeye sweep.  I figured if they're there, someone would eventually find them for me, thanks.  Yep, that was always the plan, to have a set near each default field.
