I looked at your link at say why not :aok it carries torps or external bombs looks like a b 24 that can float tho
-
More planes to be added, this one is somewhere near the bottom... Although I do like it's 20mm defensive cannons... :devil.
-
we do need a few more jap planes we have manily allioed aircraft we need more german jappanse and some ittilan aircraft to :salute

Emily's not a floatplane. It's a flying boat, and if we were to add flying boats, the Catalina and Sunderland would most likely be added first.

here are some uses for this aircraft. long range patrol, bomber, torpedo bomber, transport. water take off and landing.
if this model can have a manned gunner for each position, a fighter would not have a chance against it.

If Allied planes were able to shoot down Emily's in real life, what makes you think a player wouldn't be able to do the same in game? Those 20mm cannons are only deadly if they hit something.
ack-ack

That looks like a great addition to AH! would be nice to have more hapanese bombers. :aok

This fits the bill for three purposes:
One: Another Jap plane.
Two: A float plane/flying boat. It is a gap that will eventually need to be filled and this may be a better choise for the AH2 sim/game than the US PBY.
Three: Multi-pupose. I say allow it to actually be a multi-purpose plane and have it carry ord, or veh supps, or field supps (but not paras), AND have a tank gun like zoom for long range recon. No CV group would be safe! :)
Good pick, Valdal.

Sadly, where the H8K2 "Emily" fails critically is in the artwork department. Not that the data isn't available, it is (there is still an Emily in existence), but in the amount of work required. The Emily is so big and has so many compartments with gunners in them that the art work for the Emily would be something like doing the B-17, B-24 and Lancaster combined.
Ok, maybe just the B-17 and Lancaster.

29 or 64 passengers? Jeeze... Imagine those falling over a base! :-P
