Can someone explain how to change the codec of a video.... i taped a AH-2 clip on fraps, but wont let me play it in Windows media.... and.. i made it with windows media player

This is the raw Fraps video. It is probably a VERY large file, 10 seconds of recording in fraps can yield a video over 100mb easy. The reason why your windows media player isn't playing it is because it is such a large file and pretty much overwhelming your computer/media player. You will need to compress the video using another program, such as Windows Movie Maker.

I did a quick youtube search and came up with this tutorial video. At about the 7:30 mark, the guy talks about saving the file. He says don't use 2.1 Mbps, but for hosting a high resolution movie (not being sent via email), I would use the 2.1 Mbps setting.
