This is more of a wonderment than a wish.
Why not, at the end of each tour, total up all the stats for each country and announce each country score, like the five top pilot ranks and their runner up?
Okay, I know. Scores - who cares?
Well, as a collective score, that means it represents everyone from your entire little Kumbaya country, and includes the token part you might have played in what ever happened during the month.
Maybe you sank a carrier (of an opposing country hopefully) and added to the total tonnage your country sent to the bottom. Or conversely, maybe you downed bombers heading for your carrier, preventing the loss of a vital national asset!
Here's an example:
Bishops - totals for June
Shot down 27,215 fighters and 7,203 bombers in aerial combat :rock
Destroyed 57,240 aircraft on the ground :D
Destroyed 247 CV Task Forces
Destroyed 6,823 main battle tanks and 16,224 armored vehicles
Destroyed 2,334 tons of ordinance and 52,256 gallons of av-gas
Destroyed 59,712 buildings
Captures 1,203 bases
Lost 21,373 fighters and 5,241 bombers in aerial combat :cry
Lost 36,593 aircraft on the ground
Lost 167 CV Task Forces
Lost 4,723 main battle tanks and 13,237 armored vehicles
Lost 1,632 tons of ordinance and 43,223 gallons of av-gas
Lost 41,235 buildings
Lost 832 bases
You get the picture.
As it is, a record for every last event in the game goes to some database somewhere for calculating individual points and perks, so the infrastructure is already in place. Just push the dread Mega-Sigma button for the entire country and there it is.
Just consider now that every last plane, hangar, tank, building, ship, fuel storage, radar site, every piece of ordinance - all the way down to the last .45 caliber slug in your pistol - costs virtual money.
It will dearly cost your country monthly virtual glory if you fail to wantonly waste your foes, but instead wantonly waste your own resources without showing something for it.
This might be a good way to let people surfing by AH get some idea of the mayhem that is going on inside.
I figure the economic fluctuations caused by spies and folks who regularly switch sides will even out at the end of the month.
I also figure that some players would play all three countries each month just so they could be on the winning side.
:rofl
All the best

great idea man, i would love to see all the coutries scores and all it would take is a calculater and that the host counts kills.
awesome idea

It sounds neat just because I would like to see how many players a country shot down, but it would also be skewed because people (like me) switch sides frequently.

You can already see that to some extend.
Currently Bishops have 56844 kills to 56952 deaths (K/D 0.998) ,
Knights have 50597 kills to 54849 deaths (K/D 0.922) and
Rooks 54296 kills to 49939 deaths (K/D 1.087)

i dont think it would be that skewed, you will just add pints for each side
though i guess if some one was really dmad at one team they could sabatoge their score on the "nme side"

Rooks pwn :D
I'd love to see this, simply to see not only what country 'won the war' but to see what country put up the best fight...
As the saying goes "We mighta won the battle, but we lost the war"...

Rooks are alt monkeys and Bish travel in hordes. Plus the guys who do switch sides are on Rooks and bish more often then Knights even though we do have the least amount alot :aok.

I really like this idea, and I've been meaning for some time to post it. You laid it all out very well, OldSport. I think the most important part is making this prominent on the homepage, right alongside top pilot scores.
1) It shows, to the outsider just surfing through the page, that AH has some strategy and overall structure. I know personally that going to the WWII Online website, the most enticing thing has always been the updated map they feature of the changing front lines. Makes you feel like theres something bigger going on, something you want to be a part of.
2) It gives the "Win the War" enthusiasts more reason to want to win the war, and perform well as a team. I've heard many times this conversation:
Win the War General: Only 2 more nit bases to go!
Furballer: Who cares if we get the reset, we just get another map
The General never has any response to this. Posting overall map victories, alongside other country stats, could really give a lot more value to winning the map reset (as well as country bragging rights, which are always fun).
I know HT has stated that the strategy system is only a method of promoting A2A fights, but from an A2A combat perspective, the most enjoyable fights I've experienced have always been as part of a larger objective: defending a VBase, breaking through fighter cap to get to a carrier, breaking up NOE raids. Put simply, more strategic teamwork will only lead to better air combat for those of us who are interested in it.

For real? Thanks Lusche :).
