Title: Ack Kills Scoring

AFAIK, when somebody gets killed by ack, kill goes to the nearest enemy. IMHO this would not be the case. If somebody gets killed that way, kill should go to Ack operators, or to nobody, but never to an ack hiding guy.

I realise this is a valid defensive tactic (since I love field defense, I use it extensively), but I think It's not fair to award guys like me with more kills than the hard earned, usually worked on gun ability and combat manouvering (either BFM or ACM).

Err I mean...I think that Ack can kill a plane by its own...why not giving credit to ack of "their" kills? Is fair and would stop some endless ack huggin.

I agree with you that the kills should not be awarded to players.

However I disagree that it is a valid tactic.  I have spoken with veterans and read many of their writings, and there are many stories of ack shooting down friendly planes.  In fact the only story I have read of a plane dragging the enemy to friendly ack, resulted in BOTH planes being shot down.   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)  Poor buggers...

I agree completely, regardless as to whether or not it's a "valid tactic".  I've gotten 2 or 3 kills without leaving the runway...not very honorable (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif).

Kills should not be awarded to anyone.  I really did not like seeing "kill by the ack weenies" all over the text buffer in WB.

The thing i disliked the most about wb was the "Kill by the ack weenies". Geting a over agressive player to follow into ack is art form. If i sucker a guy into doing it i want the kill.
