Title: Little suggestion abut depressive chute
Post by: stefano on June 28, 2000, 12:27:00 PM
I know isn't so important. But I'd like a lot to hear the sound of the wind and the sound of the opening of the chute itself, when I have to jump out of my plane and open my chute. Perhaps I'm romantic, but the fact is that unfortunately I have to use often my chute...
...so please make this moment less depressive adding nices sounds  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

How about some simple harness tugging control to give us a bit of an FM to the chute?  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) be nice to bail over your base and land right by the tower

I can see it now, The new sport in AH, Skydiving.  Of course, we would have to be able to sign on as passengers in a c-47, then we could do 10man formations, and stunts.  Heck, give us the option of being the grunts.  think about jumping from the C47, and running around the base, dodging tanks and strafing AC, looking for the bunker.
I'm for it.

Perhaps we could have an uplifting message (no pun intended) written on the underside of the chute to keep our spirits up.  Or a message saying what we did wrong (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif): "you should have climbed..."

I know that I spend too much time hanging under one, and could use it (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif).

The newbie who opens chute at 12000 feet should be allowed to smoke a cigarette on the way down.

The newbie that opens a chute at 12,000 ft should have his radio automatically disabled...  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Everybody in a chute should have their radio disabled.

Karnak..spot on m8! correct me if I'm wrong but  pilots in chutes could not radio their RL comrades once they'd bailed or ditched so why can we in AH?

A couple of times I have seen players whine about other players straffing them when they are walking about on the ground, these same players were giving their comrades six calls and other tactical information so is it any wonder these pilots get fed up and straffe them? I havn't had to do this myself but I did see an argument by a comrade bubble up onto the main radio channel with insults and tempers rising because he had been giving us all 6 calls while walking about on the ground.

In short disable radio's whilst in parachute or on the ground or limit the time a player has to walk about before sending him to his HQ

On occasion I have asked folks running around on the ground during a base fight to .ef or be shot. I give 2 warnings then take em out. Shooting someone who is in their chute at 12k is a mercy kill   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
but folks who bail at 1 or 2k and hit the silk, well a benifit of the doubt
