Wow, this guy had a flair for the dramatic.
The day before his death, a court had granted Mirielle Mellin additional alimony, the Mail reported.
Following the decision, in the last contact with his wife, Mellin sent a text message reading, "Congratulations, XXX."
The businessman then reportedly tied one end of a rope he kept in his Aston Martin convertible to a tree and wrapped the other end of it around his neck as he sat in the driver's seat. He then drove the car at a high speed onto a busy road, forcing other drivers to witness his violent suicide, the Mail said.
-
I've actually heard about other people doing this same thing.
-
Wow an Aston Martin convertible nice car bet its for sale cheap. :D
-
*pop*
What did the suddenly driver less car do next?
Did the force lift the guy out of his seat of was the event so quick his right foot remained planted firmly to the floor?
-
Why didnt he just shoot her? :O
-
He wasn't trying to kill her.
-
I'd say this lends a new twist to the 'losing yer head over a woman' adage.
Wow, this guy had a flair for the dramatic.
but ain't brits supposed to be masters of understatement??
-
He should have shot her.
-
As coming from a recent divorce with a crazy chick. The shooting her idea does have merit. This way she loses all court ordered alimony as it goes in the will to his family. Make no doubt this chick was a gold-digger, in the vein of Paul McCartneys own Long Jane Silver.
Fegging courts giving a mans life and blood to a cheap strumpet

it's england... the means for 'no waiting perforating' are no longer legally available to mere subjects of the crown.
..so; he couldn't rightly shoot her.
there are other methods...
"Is wayne brady gonna hafta choke-a-squeak?"

I couldn't agree more. My parents are divorced. My mum wrenched all power to herself. She took all the visitation rights, she took everything from my dad, and STILL expects him to pay alimony. She left him with nothing and still went back for more, because she feels she's entitled to it. Fortunately, my dad, being the hard worker dug his way out financially, and I finally managed to get a voice in court, so while she still has custody, I still get to see my dad. My mum is a good mother, but feels she's entitled to WAY too much. It seems to be that way with a lot of people.

" The following report was written by a Dr. Beaurieux, who experimented with the head of a condemned prisoner by the name of Henri Languille, on June 28, 1905:
Here, then, is what I was able to note immediately after the decapitation: the eyelids and lips of the guillotined man worked in irregularly rhythmic contractions for about five or six seconds. This phenomenon has been remarked by all those finding themselves in the same conditions as myself for observing what happens after the severing of the neck...
I waited for several seconds. The spasmodic movements ceased. [...] It was then that I called in a strong, sharp voice: 'Languille!' I saw the eyelids slowly lift up, without any spasmodic contractions – I insist advisedly on this peculiarity – but with an even movement, quite distinct and normal, such as happens in everyday life, with people awakened or torn from their thoughts.
Next Languille's eyes very definitely fixed themselves on mine and the pupils focused themselves. I was not, then, dealing with the sort of vague dull look without any expression, that can be observed any day in dying people to whom one speaks: I was dealing with undeniably living eyes which were looking at me. After several seconds, the eyelids closed again[...].
It was at that point that I called out again and, once more, without any spasm, slowly, the eyelids lifted and undeniably living eyes fixed themselves on mine with perhaps even more penetration than the first time. Then there was a further closing of the eyelids, but now less complete. I attempted the effect of a third call; there was no further movement – and the eyes took on the glazed look which they have in the dead.[9] "

He should have put the rope around HER neck and taken HER for a ride...

Rightly or not and even without purchase rights there are ways to make these things but obviously this man was not very 'with it.'

He should have shot her.

It's pleasing to see that people with English as a third language make an effort on these boards. Difficult to understand what they write, but pleasing nonetheless.
Keep it up. :aok

Well I have been through the money grubbing American system for awhile now. My first wife went crazy during 'that stage they go through' and put the whole family through hell. Even the cops were telling me there was a better way to handle things (they had enough of her too as she was in and out of jail every month). I took the kids to their grandparents and let her have everything. All my sports collections awards trophies memorobilia from around the world... gone. Now she is on welfare and has nothing. The judge gave her nothing and everything in the house and the house too are lost for almost nothing in return (for her I got absolutely nothing). She cost myself the kids the city and the county more then one person has a right to.
Simpler more cost effective solutions are available and once the love is gone... its gone.
Current wife 'gets it' and is very very faithful. I think if she was ever 'disrespected' by another man and asked to sleep around... she would shoot him.

While i have no no idea if it's true, it is said that a severed head can react for about 15 seconds afterwords. Still i don't know if it's proven, just what i have heard.

the French actually conducted experiments on this during the French Revolution. Results were lost when they cut off the head of the researcher.
