Hope HTC answers this within 2 weeks ;)
When a green plane shoots at another, how does the killshooter calculate damage?
Say, Im in a p51b and the other green is in a b17. I aim at his wing at d300 and fire only 2 or 3 rounds. Bullets hit.
How is the damage applied to my plane calculated? Will I have to pump enough lead to break that b17 wing off before my own wing comes off? or does it just detect a wing is hit and it applies it to the p51b's wing, ripping it off when enough damage is sustained (using the p51b damage model)?
does a killshooter hit on the tail mean the damage will be applied to my own tail? or will it be applied randomly to some other part of my plane?

silence is unnerving.

this is only my opinion......
but i think the damage value is multiplied,
just yesterday i was busy turning another 109 into scrap metal when a rook who shall remain nameless(he's new and didn't know about killshooter) pulled right in front of me, he was in a dora. i hit him, saw 2 hit sprites on his plane, heard 2 pings on my end and my whole tail fell off...
now i don't know about you, but i don't think a few .50's are enough to tear the whole tail assembly off a pony
and yes i know that 1 hit sprite can represent more than one bullet hit
[edit]I got the kill though :D[/edit]

U can always pick up the phone and dial Grapevine or e-mail them.
We're on the cusp of 1.08, I think. Maybe they're pretty busy for the boards.
Let us know what you find out; interesting question.
