not a hoax, they've been working on this one for years.

Metamaterials are mixtures of metal and circuit board materials such as ceramic, Teflon or fibre composite.
I wear Kevlar everyday but it just makes me sweaty....
Invisibility would be cool. Think of the personal possibilities to it....
:aok

Yes just think of the uses the government will come up with.
-
You don't think the government would use this technology for the gathering of information that would otherwise be unavailable to them? What ever would give you that idea?

Seriously guys, this is easily done with blue screen technology. Just because Mister Warf says something is real doesn't make it so and somebody at CNN is probably going to get fired for not properly fact checking (actually, who am I kidding, the media hasn't fact checked for years).

You're not serious are you sluggish?

Yes I am serious. Making microwaves "dim" is a FAR CRY from invisibility. What we have here is a bunch of overzealous trekkies with overactive imaginations that need to get out of their mother's basements more often.
I'm not disputing that this is possible. I'm not disputing that it's being worked on. I AM disputing whether or not this will be accomplished within the next 50 years. Just around the corner? I don't think so. And the picture, a still-shot from a video readily available on youtube and mysteriously removed from the original CNN article is a flat-out, straight-up HOAX.
